About this Release

In each release there may be new features and functions that require one or all of the following:

· Purchase of a module to access

· User Training

· Specific process to be used to ensure the correct functioning

Please read the release notes and the corresponding manual pages to ensure that you understand the changes being made, what module they are associated with, and how they impact your business processes.

Release Notes for CareRight 6.88

Major Features

ePrescribing & Real Time Prescription Monitoring

CareRight is now conformant with the Electronic Prescribing 2.3 Conformance Test Specifications, and subject to further testing is aligned to Electronic Prescribing 3.0.3 Conformance Test Specifications.

This includes RTPM such as QScript, SafeScript and other state based compliance requirements.

Correspondence - Add a Patient as a Letter recipient (email)

For customers with a secure email setup, correspondence can now be sent via Email directly to the patient. We strongly recommend review of Industry recommendations when considering this approach.

Patient Portal - Share a document securely with a patient

For customers utilising a secure SMTP / email service and the patient portal; CareRight features the ability to share documents; pathology or radiology results with a patient via a time limited link.

3M™ Grouper Plus Content Services (GPCS) - REST API now supported (AU)

Grouper is changing the integration method from a legacy technology, known as SOAP, to REST. It is recommended customers trial this prior to October 2023, where it will become the default mechanism.

To upgrade, simply visit Administration > Admissions > Grouper Settings > Edit, and change the Send Method to "Rest".

If you experience issues, ensure your network environment whitelists:

https://anzgpcs.3mhis.com/Gpcs/rest/* - all urls prefixed with this should be whitelisted, so that future Grouper upgrades at not blocked.
https://anzgpcs.3mhis.com/GpcsSts/oauth/token

You can then use the Test Authentication button to check your Grouper setup is functioning correctly:

Platform Upgrades - Ubuntu 22.04

CareRight will incrementally be delivered via the Ubuntu 22.04 Long Term Support release for all new customers. Existing customers will be migrated in the coming months.

Enhancements

Patient Accounts > Private Accounts > Ability to override rates

Where a private account is created, but you need to use a specific rate table (ie: a health fund's rates, or a particular rate for that individual patient); the system now allows you to opt in to overriding rates.

Note: This must also be enabled at the billing provider level

Accounting Setup > Ability to model BPAY billing details

CareRight supports the ability to generate BPAY billing references. BPAY can be set at either:

Practice wide
Medical Provider level
Service Location level

BPay references are generated as a combination of invoice number, patient MRN and a check digit.

Templates can be customised with the following variables

My Health Record - Session Lock and Timeouts

CareRight now implements SEC-0081 Session lock and termination of the MyHealthRecord Security and Conformance Profile 1.0.

This lowers the general system timeout to 15 minutes for areas of the system where a patient's My Health Record is accessed.

My Health Record - Warn for System Administrators without 2FA enabled

Where system administrators do not have 2FA and the Health Identifiers service is enabled, a warning will display.

Medicare > IHC > Ability to enter in specific sender details per claim

When submitting an IHC claim, you may now override the sender details on a case by case basis.

System Admin > Appointment Types > Online Booking > Define a page to redirect to on booking completion

When using Online Booking, you may now nominate a post booking location to redirect the user to, per appointment.

Clinical Notes > Search and Filtering

Modernized layout, fixing a number of bugs.

Attachments > Anti Virus Scanning Performance improvements

When uploading, the anti virus scanning is now queued; and an attachment is marked as safe when the process is complete. For a short period, documents may display as a link but not be available for download.
