The type of an assessment controls where it is available in CareRight and what work-flow is attached to it.
Common Assessment Types
Most assessments will be one of these two types:
Assessment
Normal assessments:
- Are visible at Patient > Assessment > New
- Can be saved as a draft until ready to complete
- Can require approval by a separate role
- Can be created as many times as needed for a patient
Express Form
Express forms are a lighter weight assessment with a simplified workflow. This type should be used when there should only be one current active version of the assessment at any time.
- No drafts or approval - forms are approved and saved as one block of data
- Only one current version of the form exists per patient. Older copies are automatically archived.
Advanced Assessment Types
The remaining types are special purpose for more complex requirements:
Enquiry
An enquiry assessment allows for collection of additional information when using the Enquiries module.
Dashboard-patient-correspondence-new enquiry, you can link assessment enquiry type to it, but it requires us to build it for you (relates to java scripts and trigger scripts)
Event
An event assessment allows for a custom form and trigger script to be used when processing events (eg, for billing purposes).
Billing wizard assessment (relates to java scripts and trigger scripts)
Workflow
Workflow assessments behave the same as a normal assessment, except they are not available to run stand-alone, they must be linked from a Workflow Model. (relates to java scripts and trigger scripts)
Template
This is a special type of assessment which cannot be used stand-alone, it must be embedded in another assessment. They are to allow common form elements to be re-used across a large number of assessments.
Once you create an assessment template type, when you created another assessment, you can choose template element, and select pre-build assessment into your new assessment.
