Patient Banner

Whenever you are in the patient's record, you will see the banner at the top of the page.  The banner contains key information about the patient.

You are able to specify/configure which values you wish to display. This can be set up by your System Administrator in CareRight Administration>Patients.

The patient's photo.

Full Name

The patient's full name including title, and any aliases.

Facility +

The location that they are assigned to. Users with rights to see this location will be able to see this patient.

Clintel Clinic

MRN +

The patient's unique Medical Record Number, usually automatically assigned by CareRight.

CRN +

A second reference Client Record Number.

Gender

The patient's gender.

Male

Age +

The patient's age and D.O.B.

Current Admission Location +

If the patient is admitted then the location that they are admitted to will appear. This could be the same as the Facility name or different.

Clintel Clinic

 

Phone +

Patient Contact number appears, if the field is present, it shows, else the next number is checked:

1. Summary > Contact Details > Mobile

2. Summary > Contact Details > Home Phone

1. Summary > Contact Details > Work Phone

So if the mobile is present, it will show the mobile, then the Home Phone if present, then the work phone if present.

Alerts

Any important information that users should be aware of. An alert is either visible by clicking the ALERT label or it appears as text in the banner. Clicking the Alert will give more details.

Patient is suicidal

Allergies

If a patient has any known allergies then the ALLERGY label will appear in the banner.  An allergy can also appear as text in the banner. Clicking the Alert will give more details.

Allergic to Latex

Notices

Any non-clinical alerts appear under the NOTICES label or as text. Clicking will provide more details.

Patient has outstanding debts and is embargoed

Colour of the banner

The colour of the banner will change if an Alert, Allergy or Notice is attached to the patient's record.

Blue - Normal colour

Red - Alert, Allergy or Notice

Black - Patient is deceased

+ denotes a field that may not appear due to configuration settings
