CareRight allows for the user to record Diagnoses against an admission record. When a Diagnoses has been added to a Patients Admission record it will display as follows:

Grouper Version: | This is the version of the Grouper being used i.e. AR-DRG Version 8.0 - This can be set in CR Administration> |
Diagnosis Related Group (DRG): | This is the assigned DRG either manually or automatically with the 3M grouper integration |
Major Diagnostic Category (MDC): | |
Type | This is the type of Diagnosis i.e. Principal, Additional, External cause.
Note: If External cause is set then Place of Occurrence and Activity will display on this screen also |
Diagnosis | This the Diagnosis (ICD10 or generic codes ) i.e. B01.9 (ICD that is loaded/managed by your system admin |
Condition Onset Flag | This is the condition onset flag i.e Present on Admission |
Priority | The system auto populates this value - the first diagnosis will be given Priority = 1, the second Priority = 2 and so on. |

From this screen you can:
- Add a new Diagnosis
- Edit an existing Diagnosis
There are two options for adding Diagnoses to an Admission record:
- Quick add (generally completed during coding) - see Quick Admissions Coding
- Normal add to an admission - can be completed progressively Adding a new Diagnosis
