View a patient > My Health Record > Gaining access
Patients have the choice to Restrict Access to their My Health Record. In this situation, your Patient will provide a relevant access code that you can key in to gain access.
Alternatively, in an emergency situation, you may also enter a "break glass" code to access details.
You can also record patient consent, for you to upload information to their My Health Record. By default, consent indicated is selected.
When this setting is changed, the default behaviour of the system is to discourage, but not prevent, uploading of information.
