This article contains end-to-end steps in terms of appointment configuration in CareRight. Users can skip a step if it's already configured into the system.
Prerequisites
- System Administrations role.
Steps to Implement
A. Location Configuration:
Locations are managed in CareRight via the Locations tab within System Administration.
1. Create Location:
a. Select the location from the system administration menu.
b. Click on new Location.
c. Follow the instructions here to add a new location.
2. Set a location status to open:
Once you create a location set location status to open.
System Administration -> location -> change the Statuses to open.
3. Assign a location to Group:
Once you create a location assign the location to a specific group that the system administrator or the specific user who set up appointments belongs to.
a. Go to System Administration
b. Click Users and Groups.
c. Click on Groups.
d. Click Show on the specific group you want to add to the new location.
e. Click on the New to Allowed Locations tab.
f. Choose the new location that is added from the dropdown.
f. Click on Create Group location assignment.
B. Provider Configuration:
1. Create a Provider record:
a. Add a provider or medical provider here.
2. Enable Schedule Appointments for the provider:
a. From the Dashboard> Providers, click Show to the specific Provider.
b. Click Edit.
c. Tick Schedule Appointments.
d. Add Default Appointment Duration.
e. Add the Initials you want to show on the appointment screen.
f. Tick the Calendar Views that the provider belongs to.

g. Click Update.
3. Location Assignment for the provider where they need to book appointments against:
a. From the Dashboard> Providers, click Show to the specific Provider.
b. Scroll down to Allocations.
c. Click New and add a location.
d. Click on Create staff allocation to save.
C. Appointment Configuration:
a. Setup the appointment type/s here.
b. Set up the calendar session types here for the location added in the previous step.
c. Setup Allow appointment types here for the calendar session type created.
d. Add calendar sessions here for each provider for each location in specific.
e. Clone session if required here.
