Repeat a Non-MIMS Prescription

There are times when a patient requires ongoing medication, particularly for chronic conditions. In these scenarios, medical practitioners need to have the ability to easily replicate existing prescriptions, with the option to make changes if needed. This is facilitated by the Repeat tool.

1. Navigate to the Medications screen.
2. In the patient banner, click Previous Prescriptions.
   1. A list of previous prescriptions appears. Each prescription now includes the Repeat button.
3. Click Repeat to replicate a prescription.
   1. The prescription creation page appears, but the medication(s) are now copied from the previous prescription.
   2. Note: The Repeat button does not appear for prescriptions requiring an authority number.
4. Functionality includes:
   1. Editing of a medical provider, location and date (defaults to today's date);
   2. Remove a drug;
   3. Add a drug;
   4. View any interactions (e.g., a duplicate therapy warning); and,
   5. Print prescription.
5. Note: Drug details cannot be changed.
6. Click Print Prescription
