Copy Coding From Admission

Currently after an admission has been discharged CareRight offers the functionality to copy values from a previous admission. 

 There are two options available:

• Coding from previous admission on <date>
• Select from previous admissions

From the Patient Record:

1. In the Main Menu, click Admissions.
2. Select the relevant Admission from the Admission History section, then click ARN hyperlink
   1. The Admission details will display.
3. Select Copy From (under banner).
4. Select Coding from previous admissions <date>.
   1. Note: <date> will be the date of the admission before this admission.
5. This will copy the coded values across to the current admission, a message will advise if the copy is successful.

Important Notes:

• If the patient has no previous admission to copy from the button will be greyed out; and,
• If there are existing codes against the current admission, these will be replaced with the 'copied' values and the DRG deleted.
