About this Release

In each release there may be new features and functions that require one or all of the following:

· Purchase of a module to access

· User Training

· Specific process to be used to ensure the correct functioning

Please read the release notes and the corresponding manual pages to ensure that you understand the changes being made, what module they are associated with, and how they impact your business processes.

Major Features

ePrescribing with Medisecure

Creating an ePrescription with Medisecure is now possible in the product. Note, due to changes to PBS prescriptions via ePrescribing; CareRight is currently undergoing renewed development and certification with other providers.

Prescribing - SafeScript & Provider setup

In the version of CareRight released to your test environment, there are a number of small but important changes to Prescribing. Specifically:

• CareRight is pre-configured with Real Time Prescription Monitoring
• There are additional steps when prescribing Schedule 8 (Drugs of Addiction), such as the ability to enter an NSW Health Authority Number; and requiring prescribers to confirm their identity by re-entering a password, and confirm the patient date of birth.
• If there are any Custom Drugs in use (i.e. Fentanyl 200mcg Sublingual Tablet 200 mcg) that are Schedule 8, these should be updated via Admin > Medications > Custom Drugs > Edit, and the Schedule 8 flag should be set.

For each provider that is likely to prescribe these medicines, their profiles must be updated with new settings. If the provider is using SafeScript, enable National Data Exchange Prescription Monitoring to incorporate this into the CareRight prescribing workflow.

Infrastructure requirements

Customers must have extended security maintenance enabled.

Overnight and Long Stay IHC Claiming

Careright continues to enhance the IHC claiming capabilities of the system, with a goal of removing the requirement for split claiming between Thelma and CareRight for certain claims.

A number of improvements have been made, and we are renewing our certifications here.

Online Signing: HC21 forms

CareRight is helping remove the need for any paper claim forms, providing the ability for a patient to sign electronically a HC21 form. Following a successful pilot, this will be expanded to other paper forms (DB4 assignment of benefits, etc)

Enhancements

Program Schedules > Sort and Archive

For a given Program Schedule, it can now be either 'active' or 'archived'

Providers > Theatre List

Minor layout changes for patients with long email addresses.

Patients > NDIS Identifiers

Patient records now capture NDIS Identifiers.

Passwords > Strength indicator

To assist in choosing strong passwords, we now display a complexity calculation of your proposed password. Where LDAP or SAML authentication is not otherwise enabled; we highly recommend the use of Password Managers to suggest strong passwords, or enabling Setting up Two Factor Authentication (2FA) using tools such as https://1password.com/

A new global setting is available to enable an experimental feature.

For users with multiple staff working on the same assessment, the system will now display if two users are trying to edit the assessment at the same time.

Security - ability to lock account on password breach

Datasets > Admissions > New calculated columns

For Single Procedure/Single Theatre admissions, there are now the following columns available in Admission datasets:

• duration
• theatre_end_to_discharge_time_duration
• theatre_start
• theatre_end

Additionally, Appointments can now be associated with Admissions, where the appointment date is equal to the admission date. This is useful for Day Surgery admissions only.

Defects & minor enhancements
