Uploading the Same Document Twice

CareRight will only ever allow the automatic import of a document once. As soon as it has been imported, the file cannot be imported again. This is  safety measure to ensure duplicate documents are not created in CareRight.

If for some reason you wish to re-import the same file again, you have two options:

  1. Manually upload the document into the patient record; or,
  2. Open the document in a relevant editor, save the document and add it to the folder that CareRight checks. Follow the process for Bulk Document Importation.
    1. This will change the file contents and "trick" CareRight into thinking it is a different document. Therefore it will be processed.

Please note: Changing the name of the document will not work, it is the contents of the document that need to be different.

Why? CareRight uses a MD5# on the document which generates a unique finger print. Every file is different and CareRight uses this to check if it has imported the document previously.
