Diagnosis & History Groups

In this area you can review and set up custom categories for Diagnosis & History Groups. CareRight will have the following groups pre-defined but these can be modified / updated to reflect your business processes and use.

The values use in the Diagnosis and History Groups are:

  • Diagnosis Codes
  • Problem Codes
  • Free Text data entry


Reviewing  Diagnosis & History Groups

  1. Click Administration.
  2. Select Patients Menu.
  3. Select Diagnosis & History Groups sub-menu.
    1. The Diagnosis & History Groups screen will display.
  4. From this screen you can:
    1. Edit
    2. Re-Order
    3. Add a New  group


Editing a Diagnosis & History Group

  1. Click Administration.
  2. Select Patients Menu
  3. Select Diagnosis & History Groups sub-menu.
    1. The Diagnosis & History Groups screen will display.
  4. Select the Edit button next to the Group you wish to edit.
  5. The Edit screen will display and you can modify the following values:
    1. Group Description - which is the Name which displays on the Patients Diagnosis & History Group screen
    2. Enabled - This check box will determine if the Group is displayed on a Patient Record or not
    3. Collapse - This check box determines if the Group sections are collapsed on the Patient screen or not
  6. Once you changes have been made, select the Update Factor Group button.


Adding a New Diagnosis & History Group

  1. Click Administration.
  2. Select Patients Menu.
  3. Select Diagnosis & History Groups sub-menu.
    1. The Diagnosis & History Groups screen will display.
  4. Select the New button.
  5. The add New screen will display and you can fill in the following values:
    1. Name - This is the unique name of the group - it does not display on the Patients Diagnosis & History Group screen.
    2. Group Description - which is the Name which displays on the Patients Diagnosis & History Group screen.
    3. Enabled - This check box will determine if the Group is displayed on a Patient Record or not.
    4. Collapse - This check box determines if the Group sections are collapsed on the Patient screen or not.
  6. Select the Create Factor Group button to create the group.


Adding a Free Text box for data entry.

The Free Text entry box is a configurable feature, it allows for the free text entry of information for each of the enabled/active Diagnosis & History Groups.

It can be enabled as follows:

  1. Click Administration.
  2. Select Global Settings menu.
  3. Scroll down to value Use Free Form Diagnosis.
  4. Select True from drop down list
  5. Select the Change button to save.
