Import Results to CareRight

Result files which are in .pit or .hl7 format will be stored in a directory which is determined by your System Administrator.  For the results to be imported into the CareRight Patient record, a number of matches must be made:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Medicare number
  • IRN

The following Provider details must also match:

  • Medical Provider
  • Service Location
  • Provider Number

From this matching process, each request will become either matched to a patient record and can therefore be reviewed under that record, or un-matched to a patient therefore requires a manual check to match it correctly.

Note:  A file containing unprocessed results is loaded into CareRight every 5 minutes (Clintel Upload Installer program).  If there is an issue with this task performing, a communication warning will appear at the top of the screen with details of the provider.  Please report any communication problems to your System Administrator.
