This article is part of the systems administration guide. You will require administration access to view the pages mentioned in this article.
With correct setup, the pathology and radiology module will upload patient results from your service provider. These results can then be matched to patients and reviewed.
Initial Setup
- The first step is to install the Clintel Upload Installer program (Clintel will supply the file to you).
- In CareRight, go to Administration → Global Settings.
- Locate the Unprocessed Result Key field.
- Select Generate (a key will be generated).
- Copy the key and click Save.
- You will now need to wait 5-10 minutes before launching the following web address: http://localhost:3000.
- In the CareRight Server field, enter your CareRight instance address.
- In the Unprocessed Result Key field, paste your key.
- Click Login.
Setup Service Providers
- Go to Administration.
- Select Correspondence.
- Select Service Providers.
- Select Pathology or Radiology (Setup for both are identical).
- Click New button.
- Enter all details for your provider.
- Add name
- Add address
- Click Create Service Provider button.
Setup Service Providers Import Directory
Once the Service Provider has been set up, Select Show next to the record. A section titled Import Directories will now display. This is where the configuration for incoming results is set up.
- Select New button.
- Select the Location where you want the unmatched files to appear (for that specific Service Provider).
- Click Check This Location check box. This activates/deactivates the configuration.
- If necessary, fill out the File Type.
- If not set, this simply imports all files to the given provider.
- If set, this matches the pattern to the files. Useful for when multiple files are provided to the same location from multiple providers.
Example:
xyz_labs* - match only files starting with xyz_labs
abc_radiology*.pit - match only files starting with "abc_radiology" and ending in .pit.
- Select Create Service Provider Import Dir button.
- Navigate back to the Uploader file and click F5 to refresh.
- Set the path (will need to be a non user path, for example (C:)).
CareRight will check this folder every 5 minutes to check it exists and every 15 minutes to check for new results.
External Identifiers
It is possible to add external identifers, such as a Medical Objects routing ID or EDI to service providers.
Examining HL7 Results
In general, the system will display Sending Facility and highlight when you can update a configuration.
To find out the appropriate HL7 identifiers, select a Result, append .hl7 to the URL:
View the first line, MSH; and identify the MSH-4 field (Sending Facility)
