Items With Unit Modifier

Impacted by different behaviours such as:

• Multi-Patient Consultation - doctor sees 4 patients so bills item 56/4
• Targeted Treatment for a number of fields- 15236/4 = 4 additional fields

Selectable values in the field "Unit Modifier" are:

1. "Patients Seen" (default) - For a multi-patient consultation - doctor sees 4 patients so bills item 56/4
2. "Field Quantity" - number of fields targeted for treatment e.g. 15236/4 = 4 additional fields

You can change this field for an existing item by following these steps:

1. Click Administration.
2. Select Accounting from menu.
3. Select Items sub-menu.
4. Select the Show button, next to the item you wish to edit.
   1. The Item details will display.
5. Click Edit to modify the relevant information/fields.
6. Update the Item Number to include the different unit modifier i.e. /5 or /2.
7. Scroll down to Unit Modifier - set to either "Patient's Seen" or "Field Quantity".
8. Once all changes are made, select the Update Item button.
