Unprocessed Results

Unprocessed Pathology & Radiology Results can occur for a couple of reasons:

  • File Error - There is an error in the file /message and CareRight cannot 'read' it. These files will error when you select the Process button.
  • File Upload Error - There may have been a network interruption or external event which prevented the files from being correctly processed. These files will process correctly when you select the Process button.

 

You can access the Unprocessed results via the following:

Viewing unmatched results

Results are available via Location > (Choose location) > Pathology & Radiology

This view will present all items in the system where any of the patient, provider, location or lab/imaging service cannot be automatically recognised.

Hovering over the details presented as a warning will provide more context - for example, the HL7 payload contains a "sending facility" that cannot be mapped to one of your configured labs/imaging services.


Matching Pathology/Radiology Results to the right patient, provider, location or lab/imaging service

To  'match' an unmatched Pathology or Radiology Result, after clicking Match you are presented with a number of tools.

Provide all required data and update results. This will then appear in the patient record as a new result.

Match or Create Patient

You can search for or create a new patient record. You will be presented with any information that is known from the HL7 payload.


Match Provider, Service Location

Where a third party has sent a result for a specific provider but has some of the details slightly wrong, you can correct and match to the right person.


Match Lab/Imaging Service

Optionally, you may change or update the detail of who sent the result.


Result details and download

The full result information will be presented, where possible - either as text, PDF; or requiring you to download for viewing externally.
