Room/Bed Availability & Reservations

In CareRight 7.5.0 and later; a new view has been introduced, bed/room centric showing future availability/capacity.



Reserving a Room/Bed

Patients can be booked in for an overnight admission requiring accommodation via the PreAdmission process.

If configured via Admission Categories, a current or existing bed allocation assessment can be performed/viewed.

When reserving a room/bed, the intended stay mirrors the pre-admission dates.

If you know where an individual will stay, the specific details can be selected at this time; or left as a reservation (room/bed not specified).

This allows you to view at a location level the individuals who require a bed allocation.


Assigning a Room/Bed to a Reservation

Choosing Assign will allow a client to reserve a bed for their planned admission period, displaying in the calendar. On admission, where a bed is reserved; this will be one click allocated to the client.


On admission, simply convert the reservation by assigning the bed allocation.



Recording the "specialty" of a Particular Room/Bed

When allocating beds, priority may be given by level of care required.

Admission Categories allow you to configure the related specialties required.

Rooms and Beds may be assigned to a specialty with a priority.

At a later stage, this configuration will improve patient placement recommendations.
